Palio del Chiaretto 2025: Bardolino is tinged with pink

From 30 May to 2 June 2025, the picturesque town of Bardolino, overlooking the Veneto shore of Lake Garda, will host the Palio del Chiaretto. This food and wine event celebrates Bardolino's Chiaretto, the area's iconic rosé wine, offering visitors an immersion in local flavours and traditions. During the event, the streets of the centre will come alive with tasting stands, live music and shows, attracting wine enthusiasts and tourists from all over Europe. 

Tastings and wine cellar stands
Along the route stretching from Punta Mirabello to Punta Cornicello, there will be 17 stands run directly by local wineries, offering a wide selection of Chiaretto Classico DOC and Spumante DOC. In Piazza del Porto, a special stand will present the winning wines of the wine competition. 

Chiaretto di Bardolino: a rosé wine with a Veronese heart
Chiaretto di Bardolino is a rosé wine obtained mainly from Corvina Veronese, Rondinella and Molinara grapes. Its production involves a brief maceration of the skins with the must, giving the wine its characteristic light pink colour and aromas of citrus fruits, small berries and wild flowers. On the palate, it stands out for its freshness and tanginess, making it ideal as an aperitif or in combination with light dishes, such as fish starters, meat and summer salads.

DOC Bardolino: an area devoted to wine
The Bardolino Controlled Designation of Origin (DOC) covers a vast area in the province of Verona, including municipalities such as Bardolino, Garda, Lazise, Affi and others. The area, characterised by morainic hills and a mild climate thanks to the proximity of the lake, is particularly suited to the cultivation of native vines such as Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara. In addition to Chiaretto, DOC Bardolino also produces red and sparkling wines, all expressions of the Veronese winegrowing tradition.

The Palio del Chiaretto represents an unmissable opportunity to discover and appreciate Bardolino's oenological excellence, immersing oneself in a festive and authentic atmosphere.
